Dear PGY1s,
On your last day of internship, and on the behalf of our program and department, I want to thank you for the contributions you’ve made over the past year. It’s been a joy to watch you become skilled, confident, caring physicians. Please take a moment today to reflect on your remarkable accomplishments. Completing a Yale internship isn’t easy. The hours are long and the challenges great, but each of you thrived and made us proud.
Our residency, our patients, and our community have benefited from your extraordinary dedication.
To those of you leaving us today, we’ll miss you and look forward to watching you progress from afar. To those of you staying on as PGY2s, please enjoy your well-deserved break, and we look forward to seeing you back on Monday as brand new PGY2s.
Congratulations and farewell,
Mark S
